Today is Mile Monday

We have a very big race on Mile Monday.  It appears to be a two horse race! Those two horses are Andrew Boucher(6:28), who set the Squirt Mile Record.  He beat Lukas Andrikonis by one second. Last week ran a 6:15 to take Boucher’s record performance away from him.  What kind of shape is Boucher in? We will find out!! Some of his notable competitors will be Cole Hyland and Blake Zorovich.  Dean Beckberger is also a dark horse. A popular trifecta bet is Andrikonis, Boucher, and Hyland. It won’t pay out that big though!  There is a lot of anticipation for this race as we expect a new record!

Camp Preview

This camp appears to be the highest level of hockey in the history of the Training Camp Cup.  Every team would make a very good Central States level hockey team. There are six AAA players in this tournament, and many more that are on their way to AAA hockey.

There are a lot of returning Training Camp Cup heroes.  Many have there name on the cup. Coach Jeff Rozanski, Owen Stover, Joe Krausfeldt, Dean Beckberger, Dan Fiorentino, Max Webster, Chris Pretzie, Alex Fuentes, Dane Jacobs, Brody O’Leary, Blake Zorovich, Joe Wagner, Nolan Shorter, Jack Nahumyk, and Peaches Tinerella all have their name on the cup.  Brennen Blanchett, Elliot Bastedo, Amanda Rosen, PJ Steinke, and Tony Diamond have all won the won the tournament twice.

Paul Degembe has taken the phrase Training Camp Cup hero to different level.  He has been named MVP one time, and the last two championship games he has score the game winning goal with under two minutes left.  Last week he was part of the now famous BHD line(Bender, Hextall,Degembe).

Joe Wagner was named MVP of last weeks Squirt Training Camp Cup.
